Artist in Rhode Island
A Rhode Island artist, her work references change in the unpredictable and unexpected stage of the Urban-Scape. She experiments with color pigments and mix-media in painting urban systems, nature and grit. Rebecca‘s work focuses on urban entanglements and connections. A future artist‘s handmade book titled ‘The Urban Spirit‘ is in process.
After a West coast family move, Rebecca attended the Museum of Fine Arts, and graduated Vesper George School of Art, Boston, MA, with a BFA from UMass Dartmouth,formerly SMU., painting residency at The Cape Cod School of Art. She taught 2001-2017 at the Rhode Island School of Design, CE/PC, The Gordon School, RI.,including community art programs to present.
Her work is in public and private collections including the Rhode Island School of Design, Museum of Art, and she has exhibited internationally. Rebecca’s quick drawing techniques have been published in the book, Paint Lab by Deborah Forman.
